A Year in Review and a New 2020 Resolution

Approximately one year ago, I shared how 2019 was the year of the pig according to eastern astrology. Since I am also a pig, I was expecting great and momentous happenings. But when 2019 came to a close, I shared with my husband that I didn’t really feel like I accomplished very much or had an incredibly prosperous year.

And then my husband said:

What about the birth of our daughter?

What about me finally receiving my doctorate?

What about the writing and release of all of your workbooks?

What about your interview with Rob Bell

What about the growth of your speaking gigs

What about the fact that our toddler became potty-trained and transitioned to big-kid bed?

What about our epic vacation to Scotland

I looked at him and realized, geesh…

IT WAS A PRETTY DAMN GOOD YEAR!

And while I’m usually a persnickety New Year’s goal setter, I’ve decided to do something very different this year. You can hear the details in my sermon from this past Sunday.
